Hanging Lanterns are a unique and stylish way to dress and decorate wedding venues and are becoming very popular. In the past few years brides and wedding planners have been taking advantage of the endless options available to create the perfect venue setting. Unlike traditional venue lighting designs, hanging lanterns offer the client so much more choice and freedom when turning their vision into reality. There are many colours and sizes available to choose from which gives the lighting designer much more flexibility when creating a bespoke package.

Shapes and Sizes
Lanterns are avaible in paper and nylon and come in a range of shapes and sizes, i.e. round, irregular, honeycomb, oval and cylinder. The nylon lanterns give more control over outdoor and marquee installations; however, the paper lanterns are a more cost-effective option.
Size Guide: 4 Inches to 36 Inches
Colours & Lights
Achieving a chosen theme with hanging lanterns is easily done with the wide range of colours and shades.
- White & Ivory
- Yellows, Orange and Reds
- Pinks & Purples
- Greens & Blues
- Browns & Blacks
- Greys & Dove
- Silver & Gold
And everything in the middle…
Another option when it comes to enhancing the venue with hanging lanterns is to install a small pea light to some or all of the lanterns. This creates a lovely glow illuminating the hanging lantern and adds warmth and character to the colour. This is especially prominent with pastel colours as it brings a warm glow to the room and venue around.
Hanging Lanterns look fab when combined with other lighting decor. The fishing wire used to hang and support the lanterns can be replaced with fairy lighting which adds a starlike canopy above the guests in the venue. This is a really nice addition and can be inexpensive.
